USACE Safety for Contractors

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Europe District, has recognized the critical importance of contractor safety performance throughout its history of military construction projects supporting our nation's defense infrastructure across Europe. Europe District’s emphasis on partnering with contractors while maintaining clear accountability for safety performance in military construction has been shaped by our commitment to job site safety, combined with the unique hazards associated with building defense facilities—including work with sensitive materials, construction in active military environments, security considerations, and proximity to operational military activities.
