USACE constructs first LEED certified US building in Germany
The 285,000-sq.-ft. U.S. Army Europe Shalikashvili Mission Command Center, built by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Europe District in Wiesbaden, Germany receives a U.S. Green Buildings Council Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design silver certification June 21,2012. The project was a LEED v2.2 design-build project and earned 37 points. It is the first LEED certified building for the U.S. government in Germany.
