US Army delivering on quality of life commitments to Soldiers and Families in Germany
A recently completed playground and community gathering space can be seen here May 6, 2021 in the Kittenberg Housing Area on Rose Barracks in Vilseck, Germany, which is part of U.S. Army Garrison Bavaria. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers delivered 20 new family homes and associated infrastructure in 2016, visible in the background, for Soldiers and their families. In 2021, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is delivering an additional 29 family homes and associated infrastructure, including the playground and gathering area that sit between the two new areas of housing within the larger Kittenberg Housing Area. The playground, gathering area and homes are part of a larger, long-term collaboration between the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the garrison to provide new and renovated family housing and other quality of life projects for Soldiers and their families at Rose Barracks.
